ESI Acquires ACGL

Montreal Based Systems Integrator Fuels ESI’s Growth

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, August 23, 2001 – ESI Information Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce that it has acquired ACGL Solutions Technologiques Inc., of Montreal. ACGL provides network integration, outsourcing, security and computer maintenance services targeted to small and medium businesses as well as the health sector. ACGL is also a Value Added Reseller (VAR) and partner for Microsoft, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard just to name a few. In addition to networking services and solutions, ACGL offers the development of custom business applications for the Microsoft Exchange Server / Outlook messaging platform. These applications enable companies to leverage their existing Exchange implementations by providing more advanced workflow functionality including improvements to contact and customer relationship management, superior calendaring functionality, resource scheduling and intuitive information sharing. These applications allow companies to streamline and improve operational efficiency.

This acquisition marks the fourth corporate acquisition by ESI this fiscal year. In March, ESI acquired CM SecureNet, followed by SiP in June and SAIS Interconnexion this month. ACGL will contribute to ESI’s growth and will beef up the company’s presence in the health care sector, where ACGL has been very successful. Consolidating operations will provide significant cost advantages for both companies and will reinforce ESI’s sales and technical support infrastructure.

Going forward, ACGL will operate under the ESI Technologies banner and its corporate offices shall be moved to ESI’s head office location in Ville St-Laurent. This move will take effect September 1st, 2001.
