MONTREAL,
QUEBEC, August 13, 2001 –
ESI Information Technologies
Inc. is pleased to announce
that it has acquired computer
cabling company SAIS Interconnexion
Inc. www.sais.qc.ca.
Founded in 1996, SAIS provides
comprehensive network cabling
design, installation, diagnostic
testing, certification and maintenance
services for data networking,
communication or video applications.
The firm offers structured cabling
solutions including fibre optic,
Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Gigaspeed
systems. SAIS also sells an
assortment of racking solutions
for data centres and computer
server facilities.
The SAIS acquisition complements
ESI’s expertise in networking,
telecommunications and computer
security. Networks have emerged
as the backbone of today's information
distribution technologies. Rapid
growth and developments in the
wide array of systems have forced
IT managers to consider a more
holistic view of the technology
infrastructure – form the
physical cabling to the desktop
and everything in between. Networks
have also become tremendously
complex, often resulting in
a myriad of systems, databases
and applications, from legacy
systems to the newest technologies,
each with its own set of protocols
and problems. As such, it is
essential that the underlying
physical cabling infrastructure
be properly designed taking
into consideration the overall
technology environment. In conjunction
with SAIS, ESI can now provide
true, end-to-end networking
services and solutions.
SAIS
is a certified Siemon cabling
system installer and is also
a member of BiCSi (Building
Industry Consulting Service),
an association whose mission
is to enhance the quality of
services and methods for the
telecommunication industry.
SAIS is an accredited member
of the Régie des bâtiments
du Québec.
SAIS will continue to operate
under the same name; however,
its corporate offices shall
be moved to ESI offices in Ville
